Dodgers Rally to Tally 6-4 Win
|
Albuquerque got a big-time effort from pitcher Quentin Hammond, but it wasn't enough to keep the Oklahoma City Dodgers from winning the game, 6-4. Hammond threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Alex Durham picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Dave Francisco was tagged with the loss. Dave Powell closed the game out for Oklahoma City, earning his 7th save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bob Seppings? The 25-year old left fielder Seppings stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Oklahoma City up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"You can never predict what'll happen," Seppings said. "That's why you play the game."
Oklahoma City, now 14-9, has gotten their season off to a good start.
