Sounds Lose By a Run at Memphis
Conditions were not ideal but Memphis and Nashville were able to put their game in the books.

The Memphis Redbirds got a good effort from starter Tony Juaneza in defeating the Nashville Sounds at AutoZone Park. The final score was 3-2. Joe Cameron closed it out for Memphis, earning his 4th save.

Jim Robinson had a big 2-run double for the Redbirds in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Memphis leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Kevin Hunt and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Redbirds ahead, 3-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Memphis manager Scooter Tucker.

The Sounds, 8-15, continue their poor start to the 2026 campaign.
