Aces 7-5 Winners Versus Fresno
Fresno right fielder Jimmy Hanna was sensational. He went 2-2 with a home run and a walk. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Reno beat the Grizzlies, 7-5. The winning pitcher was 30-year old left-handed pitcher Stephen Gonsalves. He tossed 98 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits. Toby White earned the save for Reno, his 1st of the year.

The Aces got a big at-bat from left fielder Greg Bernard. For the game, Bernard went 1-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Reno a 3-2 lead.

"We ground out the win," said Bernard. "That's all that matters."

The Grizzlies fall to 10-14 and continue to sputter in the early going.
