Knights Get 2-0 Win Versus Norfolk
Soggy conditions did not keep Charlotte and Norfolk from playing their scheduled game.

The Charlotte Knights got a marvelous performance from pitcher Chris Phillips. The left-hander kept the Norfolk offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 2-0 Charlotte victory at BB&T Stadium. Picking up the save was Jimmy Stanley, his 2nd.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Knights had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder Danny Holmes hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Al Rucker and made the score 2-0, Knights. Holmes was 2-4 with 2 singles.

"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Holmes said.

The defeat makes Norfolk 2-2.
