River Cats Take Home 3-2 Win Over Tacoma
|
The Sacramento River Cats did just enough to sneak past the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2, at Cheney Stadium. Sacramento pitcher Bob Carter, in particular, had a standout performance. Ron Smith earned the save for Sacramento, his 11th. The River Cats keep rolling, raising their record to 21-5.
Dave Coleman, who is tied for 3rd in the PC in home runs with 3, helped out the Sacramento cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles.
"It was a good effort all around," said Carter.
