Mike Armstrong propelled his team to victory over the Memphis Redbirds. The final score was 3-2, New Orleans. Raymond Rodriguez was called on to finish, recording his 13th save. Memphis now is 12-15.

Augusto Espinoza drove in one run for New Orleans. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Walt Henley. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

Espinoza called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
