Despite a great performance by Las Vegas right fielder Manny García, the El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the 51s by the score of 6-5 at Cashman Field. García was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Chihuahuas, now 20-8, have been playing some good baseball.

El Paso used a well-timed hit by Ben Daugherty to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 6-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Daugherty, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
