Tight Tilt Goes to RailRiders, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Scranton WB RailRiders and the Syracuse Chiefs, 30-year old left-handed pitcher Don Parker proved to be the difference. The Scranton WB left-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 RailRiders win. In 6 innings, Parker surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Scranton WB is now 2-2.
The RailRiders got a big at-bat from catcher Jermaine Rogers. For the game, Rogers was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Scranton WB a 2-1 lead.
Parker called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
