At Aces Ballpark, the Reno Aces and Iowa Cubs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Reno got a decent performance from pitcher Holden Helmink, but it wasn't enough to beat the Iowa Cubs. Iowa won the Aces Ballpark contest, 9-6. Helmink threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, the Cubs hiked their record to 16-15.

Jamie Westbrook came through with a big-time hit for Iowa. The second baseman smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We took home the win," said Westbrook. "What's not to like?"
