In a tight contest between the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Iowa Cubs, Mitch Galloway was the determining factor. The Albuquerque right-hander sparkled in his team's 1-0 win. Earning his 6th save for Albuquerque was Milo Sykes. The win puts Albuquerque at 11-20.

Mario Garza drew 1 walk for Albuquerque. The slick-fielding shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bob Gibson. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
