Jesus Zambrano propelled his team to victory over the Round Rock Express. The final score was 4-3, Tacoma. Chip Hayes was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. With the win over Round Rock, the Rainiers improved to 15-19.

Bobby Howell dealt the Express a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Tacoma leading 2-0, Howell, who is tied for 2nd in the PC in RBI with 25, hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Round Rock manager Ben Petrick.
