Round Rock picked up a win at Dell Diamond, bumping off the Sacramento River Cats, 3-0. Pitcher Tyler Pill was a major reason the Express emerged victorious. Round Rock, at 16-18, holds down third place in the American Conference South Division.

José Álvarez hit a 2-run home run off Juan Sánchez in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Express ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Álvarez had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 4.
