In a low-scoring affair between the Tacoma Rainiers and the New Orleans Zephyrs, pitcher Mike Briddon was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tacoma right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Rainiers win. The Rainiers sport a record of 13-21.

The Rainiers got a clutch hit from third baseman Julio De La Cruz. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rainiers.

"We were determined to pick up this win," said Briddon.
