Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Sacramento River Cats and Memphis Redbirds.

The Sacramento River Cats had to overcome a fine effort from Memphis pitcher Walt Henley to win, 5-3, at Raley Field. Henley went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win went to Ismael Lucero in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Joe Cameron took the loss.

Sacramento took a 5-3 lead on Luis Lozano's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Lozano hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Memphis pitcher Joe Cameron visibly frustrated.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lozano.

Sacramento has an impressive 28-9 record.
