Isotopes Suffer 7-1 Loss to El Paso
|
El Paso center fielder Leonardo Molina contributed significantly to his team's 7-1 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes. Molina, who is tied for 3rd in the PC in triples with 3, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Chihuahuas. The winner in relief was Dan Norman. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The first-place Chihuahuas have won 4 in a row.
In the top of the fifth, the Chihuahuas found themselves in a jam. Albuquerque had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 3-1, El Paso. Kip Fletcher was at the plate, hoping to deal the Chihuahuas a serious blow. Instead, he grounded out to end the threat.
