The Tacoma Rainiers locked up a win at Cheney Stadium, knocking off the New Orleans Zephyrs, 3-2. On the mound for Tacoma was left-hander Greg Page. He played a major role in the triumph. Tacoma pitcher Jeremiah MacGregor got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Josh MacCombe got the loss. Tacoma is now 15-22, New Orleans 21-16.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Tacoma designated hitter Montrel Erbetto, facing Dan Barton, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rainiers the 3-2 win.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said New Orleans manager Jody Reed.
