The Reno Aces beat the Round Rock Express, 6-3, at Dell Diamond. The win was due in part to third baseman Denver Huffman, who went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Sergio Bernard claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-2. Dave Hensley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Luis Álvarez came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Round Rock pitcher António Ríos, he hit a 0-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Reno on top, 4-3.
