Mike Hess propelled his team to victory over the Round Rock Express. The final score was 3-2, Salt Lake. Tommy Watson earned his 14th save, after closing out the game. With the win, Salt Lake pushed its record to 23-17.
Had Myron Gómes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Gómes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bees.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Round Rock manager Ben Petrick.
