Sky Sox Get 9-6 Win Versus Oklahoma City
|
The 9-6 Colorado Springs win over Oklahoma City was due largely to Tim Tillman. The Sky Sox right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Dan McCurley earned the save for Colorado Springs, his 5th of the year. With the win, the Sky Sox have a record of 17-24.
Lonnie Hoover went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs for Colorado Springs. The slick-fielding center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Donnie Ellis. It was his 25th hit of the season.
