Memphis Redbirds right-hander Pete Lambert pitched a good game against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at AutoZone Park, leading his team to victory, 6-0. In 8.1 innings, Lambert surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 6. He allowed no runs. With the win, Memphis raised its record to 21-20.

Eric Anderson had a big 2-run double for the Redbirds in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Memphis leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Chris Metcalf and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Redbirds ahead, 4-0.

"We had a nice day," said Memphis skipper Aaron Thompson.
