The home crowd had a good time watching the Fresno Grizzlies and Albuquerque Isotopes get after it.

Albuquerque beat Fresno on the strength of starting pitcher Geoffrey Lindsey's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-1. Albuquerque is in last place in the American Conference South Division with a record of 17-25.

Albuquerque center fielder Ron Faulkner contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a curveball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Isotopes ahead, 2-0.

"They just got us," said Fresno manager Kevin Cash, "and that's all I can say."
