Zephyrs Earn 3-2 Win Against 51s
The New Orleans Zephyrs had to weather a strong performance from Las Vegas pitcher Fouad Lacoste before claiming a 3-2 win in 12 innings. Lacoste went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jose G. Gonzalez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. The first-place Zephyrs have won 5 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Magneuris Sierra in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Hernández to win the game for New Orleans. The home crowd went nuts.

Sierra called the win "a collective effort."
