Getting an impressive start from Walt Henley, Memphis beat El Paso by the score of 4-0. With the win, Memphis has a record of 19-23. El Paso falls to 28-14.

Memphis took a 3-0 lead on Bob Wolfe's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Wolfe hit in the bottom of the seventh, left El Paso pitcher Jerry Lawrence visibly frustrated.

"I thought Walt threw the ball well across the board," said Memphis manager Scooter Tucker.
