No one was more impactful than Denver Thompson in the 12-3 Sacramento win over Memphis. Thompson went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. The Redbirds, now 7-36, have lost 6 straight.

Robert Mullen had a big bases-clearing double for the River Cats in the bottom of the third inning. With Sacramento leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Elvis Metcalf and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Cats ahead, 6-0.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Andy Barkett.
