The Oklahoma City Dodgers picked up a win at Smith's Ballpark, topping the Salt Lake Bees, 8-4. On the mound for Oklahoma City was right-hander Luis Fuentes. He played a principal role in the triumph. With the win, Oklahoma City pushed its record to 23-21.
Oklahoma City used a timely hit from Diego A. Castillo to get the win. The shortstop delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 7-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Oklahoma City manager Mitch Moreland commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
