Blake Snell, who is tied for 10th in the AC in strikeouts with 42, had a strong outing for the Oklahoma City Dodgers against the Salt Lake Bees at Smith's Ballpark. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Snell got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 4 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Oklahoma City raised its record to 24-21 with the win.

Oklahoma City used a timely hit from Dave Bates to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Blake -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Dodgers manager Mitch Moreland. "He was the key to us winning."
