Tacoma Gets 7-4 Win
The 7-4 Tacoma win over Omaha was due largely to Travis Nelligan. The Rainiers shortstop was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bobby Frazier was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 10 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts. The victory puts Tacoma at 17-28.

With Tacoma leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Nelligan hit a fastball from Eric Hammers for a run-scoring triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Rainiers ahead, 2-0.

In postgame comments to the Tacoma News, Nelligan said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
