Metcalf, Sky Sox Get 2-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and the New Orleans Zephyrs, Chris Metcalf, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft, was the difference-maker. The Colorado Springs right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. The win has Colorado Springs at 18-28.
In his 100-pitch effort, Metcalf allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 6.
"The key for me has just been attacking the zone and hitting my spots. When I'm throwing strikes and not falling behind in counts, those are the days when I pitch really good," said Metcalf.
