The Salt Lake Bees converted a terrific effort from starter Mike Fry into a win over the Round Rock Express at Smith's Ballpark. The Bees won the game by a final score of 9-0. The winner was Fry. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jhoan Duran. Juan Mercado closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Ronnie Young hit a run-scoring double off Jhoan Duran in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Bees in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Young had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
