The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the Nashville Sounds, 6-4, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Robinson Flores, who is tied for 6th in the AC in triples with 2, was a standout performer for New Orleans. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. Raymond Rodriguez closed out the game, earning his 18th save. With the win, New Orleans upped its record to 31-18.

There was more than one reason the Zephyrs beat the Sounds, but Flores's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Zephyrs manager Jody Reed.
