Isotopes Suffer One-Run Loss at Omaha
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Omaha Storm Chasers eventually prevailed.
Omaha got a first-rate effort from pitcher Duane Bradley, who frustrated Albuquerque hitters en route to a 1-0 Storm Chasers triumph at Werner Park. The win was credited to Luis Chavarría in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Dave Merritt took the loss.
The Storm Chasers got a big boost from right fielder Dan Overstreet who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning off Isotopes hurler Dave Merritt. It was his 18th RBI of the season and put Omaha on top, 1-0.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Bradley.
The Storm Chasers improved their record to 28-23 with the win over Albuquerque.
