Chihuahuas Win by Slim Margin, 3-2

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the El Paso Chihuahuas got the win.
The El Paso Chihuahuas had to overcome a good performance from Colorado Springs pitcher Keone Kela to claim a 3-2 win at Security Service Field. Kela went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. David Dukeshire claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 1-1.
The most important at-bat for El Paso came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Dave Snyder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, putting El Paso up, 3-2.
In comments to the El Paso Bulletin, Snyder admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
El Paso is now 24-29, Colorado Springs 23-30.
