Rainiers Get Hard-Earned Win
The Tacoma Rainiers knocked off the Las Vegas 51s, 5-4, in Pacific Conference action at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma pitcher and Riverside, California, native Bobby Frazier had an outstanding performance. Robbie Jones picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Mitch Smith suffered the loss. Tacoma is now 22-33, Las Vegas 31-24.

Scooter Gennett was the walk-off hero for Tacoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rainiers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Frazier.
