Despite a great performance by Iowa shortstop Ignacio Moreno, the Round Rock Express defeated the Cubs by the score of 8-5 at Principal Park. Moreno went 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. The loss makes Iowa 26-33.

Víctor Olvera was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Round Rock. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jon Cameron. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
