Slumping Chihuahuas Lose Again
The El Paso Chihuahuas and Colorado Springs Sky Sox riveted fans at Security Service Field.

Colorado Springs picked up a win at Security Service Field, bumping off the El Paso Chihuahuas, 5-3. Pitcher Jim Rowe was a major reason the Sky Sox emerged victorious. Colorado Springs is now 25-35, El Paso 36-24.

The Sky Sox got a big at-bat from shortstop Luis Sánchez. For the game, Sánchez was 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 12th double of the season gave Colorado Springs a 3-2 lead.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Sky Sox manager Brian Falkenborg. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
