Rainiers third baseman Julio De La Cruz put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Salt Lake Bees. De La Cruz was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Tacoma in the contest. Tacoma pitcher Michael Wacha got the win. He's now 5-3. Octávio Rangel was tagged with the loss. Tacoma now has a record of 31-29 with the win.

With Tacoma leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, De La Cruz hit a fastball from Octávio Rangel for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rainiers ahead, 5-1.
