The Colorado Springs Sky Sox picked up a win at Smith's Ballpark, dropping the Salt Lake Bees, 6-0. Daryl Scott, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft, was the difference-maker. Scott, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 3 walks. At 26-35, the Sky Sox are currently second in the Pacific Conference North Division.
Colorado Springs used the hitting of Aurelio López to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sky Sox on top, 6-0. For the game, López had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Daryl pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Colorado Springs manager Tony Sipp.
