Rainiers Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
The Reno Aces got a superb performance from pitcher Eric Walton, but the Tacoma Rainiers still won the game, 4-3. Walton threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. Tacoma pitcher Chip Hayes got the win, upping his record to 2-5. Don Forrest got the loss. The last-place Aces have dropped 5 straight games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Alex Stanton in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Don Forrest to win the game for Tacoma. The home crowd went nuts.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Stanton. "It sure beats the alternative."
