Dave Howard was dynamite at Principal Park, blowing away the Iowa Cubs in a shutout victory. The Omaha Storm Chasers starter had everything working as he held the Cubs to 8 hits in the 5-0 win.

"He was pure nasty out there today," said Iowa skipper Gera Alvarez. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."

Howard finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
