The Salt Lake Bees defeated the Fresno Grizzlies, 8-2, in Pacific Conference action at Smith's Ballpark. Salt Lake pitcher Jim Rose had a standout performance. So far in 2024, Salt Lake is 30-33.

Joe McDonald had a big run-scoring double for the Bees in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Salt Lake leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Bob Ramsey, who is tied for 10th in the PC in strikeouts with 71, and swatted a double to right. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bees ahead, 2-0.

Rose attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
