The Round Rock Express defeated the Nashville Sounds, 6-4, in American Conference action at Dell Diamond. Round Rock pitcher Orlando Otero had a standout performance. Round Rock is now 35-30, Nashville 33-32.

The Express got a big at-bat from right fielder Ignacio López. For the game, López was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 17th double of the season gave Round Rock a 4-3 lead.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Otero.
