El Paso and Fresno duked it out and the Chihuahuas came out victorious.
Waylon Mildmay was masterful in helping the El Paso Chihuahuas take down the Fresno Grizzlies, 4-1. Mildmay got the win, improving to 3-6. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Phil Childress closed the door for El Paso, picking up his 13th save of the year.
The Chihuahuas got a big at-bat from left fielder Jorge Zaragoza. For the game, Zaragoza was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave El Paso a 2-1 lead.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Mildmay.
The Chihuahuas now own a record of 28-38.
