Fresno and Colorado Springs duked it out and the Grizzlies came out victorious.

The Fresno Grizzlies knocked off the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 4-1, in Pacific Conference action at Security Service Field. Fresno pitcher and Rocky Mount, North Carolina, native Jon Steele had an outstanding performance. Steele got the win, improving to 2-5. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Earning his 1st save for Fresno was Bobby Dailey.

Fresno used a clutch at-bat from Bob Enders to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Colorado Springs manager Brian Falkenborg.

Today's win puts Fresno at 40-30, while Colorado Springs falls to 29-41.
