Reno third baseman Bob Kane was a significant contributor in his team's 11-5 triumph over the Salt Lake Bees. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Aces. Matt Andriese, who is tied for 2nd in the PC with a 1.12 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 6-5. The loser was Fred Cove. Pete Griffin picked up the save, his 1st.

With Reno leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Kane hit a changeup from Fred Cove for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 4-1.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Salt Lake manager Tom Prince. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
