The Scranton WB RailRiders picked up a win at NBT Bank Stadium, knocking off the Syracuse Chiefs, 1-0. Starting pitcher Don Parker played a key role in the triumph. Jim Hagler was credited with the save for Scranton WB, his 2nd of the season. Syracuse, with the loss, is 5-4.
Parker, the Scranton WB left-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.
"When Don is on, he can really move the ball around," said Scranton WB manager Chad Jones.
