Colorado Springs designated hitter Pat Flores was instrumental in helping the Sky Sox triumph, 9-5, over the Salt Lake Bees. Flores went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Chris Bryant got credit for the save for Colorado Springs. It was his 15th of the year. The setback makes Salt Lake 35-41.

Flores contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Colorado Springs in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 3-2, Flores took a sinker from Fred Cove and stroked the double to left. His 17th double of the season allowed the Sky Sox to leap in front, 4-3.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Flores said. "We did a good job of that today."
