The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
Albuquerque turned a fine outing from starter Don Younger into a victory over the Round Rock Express at Isotopes Park. The final score was 6-2. The win puts Albuquerque at 41-38 this season.
The Isotopes got a big at-bat from first baseman Steve Eggert. For the game, Eggert went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Albuquerque a 3-2 lead.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Younger.
