Benefiting from Jimmy Hanna's productive game, the Fresno Grizzlies downed the Tacoma Rainiers, 6-5. Hanna was 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Grizzlies. Andres Sanchez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Had Hanna not come through in the top of the 11th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Hanna hit a run-scoring single. The Grizzlies took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

Hanna told a Fresno Herald reporter that he felt "elated" after the win.
