Buffalo Sends Pawtucket Packing with 2-1 Loss
In a low-scoring game between the Buffalo Bisons and the Pawtucket Red Sox, pitcher Pierce Johnson was masterful on the mound. The Buffalo right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Johnson, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up no walks. With the loss, Pawtucket falls to 3-7.

The Bisons got a big at-bat from center fielder Jeff Neal. For the game, Neal went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Johnson told the Buffalo Daily.
