Bees Rally to Nose Past Colorado Springs
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox got a sterling performance from pitcher Xavier Martínez, but the Salt Lake Bees still prevailed, 2-1. Martínez threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Clarence Sharp earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-3. Salt Lake goes to 35-48, Colorado Springs to 37-46.

Víctor Fernández was the walk-off hero for Salt Lake. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bees center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Colorado Springs manager Tony Sipp. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
