The Colorado Springs Sky Sox beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 8-6, at Chukchansi Park. Juan Saldaño was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The 25-year old right fielder was a menace to Fresno all day. Reliever Juan Figueroa picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Bob Bell took the loss. Colorado Springs is now 38-47. Fresno is 50-35.

Colorado Springs needed the clutch hitting of Juan Castillo to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sky Sox on top, 8-6. For the game, Castillo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Saldaño.
