In a low-scoring contest between the El Paso Chihuahuas and the Las Vegas 51s, Don Hill, who is tied for 10th in the PC in quality starts with 9, proved to be the difference. The El Paso right-hander earned props for his performance in the 1-0 Chihuahuas win. Hill, now 9-4, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Picking up the save was 37-year old right-handed pitcher Justin De Fratus.

Tony López drove in one run for El Paso. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kevin Myers. It was his 28th RBI of the season.

López attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."

The loss makes Las Vegas 42-44.
